Interventions were made on streets Ag. Nektariou, Agamemnonos, Epaminonda, Dimela, Megalou Alexandrou, Aristomenous, Aristophanous, Iridos, Nymphon, Krimeas, Euxinou Pontou, Propontidos, Dardanellion, A. Romylias. The interventions consist of adding a tctile stripe for the blind people in a few places and plantings. Interventions on the streets of Iridos, Nymphon, Krimeas, Euxinou Pontou, Propontidos, Dardanellion, A. Romylias are completely fragmented and non-functional. For example on Krimea Street the sidewalks were "improved" at numbers 15-23 / 18-24 and 45-49 / 50-54 (e.g. photo 29,34,35,36,37,39), while on the rest length, which was more in need (e.g. photos 30,31,32,38,40) remained inaccessible to people with disabilities. Even at these points, however, in most cases the obstacle-free width of the sidewalk is less than 1.50 m (e.g. photos 34,37,39,47,49,52). Sidewalks on streets that were much in need of improvement, such as Voriou Ipirou and Mikras Asias Street (ex. Photo 33), which are part of a bus route, remained unsuitable for people with disabilities and dangerous for ordinary pedestrians. On Agamemnonos, Epaminonda, Dimela, Megalou Alexandrou, Aristomenous, Aristophanous streets the obstacle-free pedestrian width also remained insufficient (less than 1.50m) for use by people with disabilities (e.g. photos 4-27) - even the ablebodied are often forced to walk on the road. Garbage bins, poles, etc. have been left in places that make the sidewalks even more inappropriate (e.g. photos 3,8,31). The plantings have been, for most of the project, designed to prevent the use of sidewalks, which should have been widened in this case. No sidewalk widenings were made, while that could easily be done by removing car parking space from the streets without any problem, since all the houses in the area have courtyards and unbuilt spaces accessible from the street, which can be used for parking. A project that does not serve and does not benefit anyone (except, perhaps, from the suppliers and the contractors).
